Executive Gym

The Executive Gym at City Golf and Heath Clubs has less members per square foot than any other gym in the square mile, providing a more enjoyable and relaxing environment to train. Membership is restricted to only 150 gym members.

One to one training programmes integrate principles of core stability and total body conditioning. Training incorporates elements of flexibility, cardio respiratory, core, balance, power and strength into each session thereby developing and improving levels of functional strength, neuromuscular efficiency and dynamic flexibility.

RayRay: Ray’s career started as a Futures Trader and he has been able to use this competitive and driven background to good effect with his training. Ray is one of the most experienced trainers in the City and has been training clients for over 15 years.

He specializes in Strength Training, Martial Arts, Core Stability, Muscle Gain and Fat Loss.

He has always got the best out of his clients and can get results from first time exercisers through to professional athletes. He is also qualified to use the Power Plate and Gravity Machine, both new to City Golf.


PeterPeter: As a Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology (CHEK) Practitioner, Peter bridges the gap between Physiotherapy and Personal Training with a particular focus on ensuring that your body functions at its very best thus accelerating your progress towards whatever health and fitness goals you may have.

By combining exercise, nutritional and lifestyle advice and manual therapy, Peter's approach is particularly successful in improving golf performance as well as addressing postural faults, and assisting in eliminating pain anywhere in the body.

JamieJamie: Jamie Colkett Bsc Hons. is a vastly experienced Weight Loss and Back Pain Specialist, a Sports Science and Exercise Physiology graduate and has been studying Human Anatomy, Sport and Exercise since 1990.

Jamie has been a Personal Trainer since 2000 and has accrued thousands of hours successfully training clients through the application of his training philosophy.

City Golf offers an unrivalled gym experience in the square mile.

 

JamesJames has been a Professional now for over 11 years, successfully teaching full time for 9 of those years.  During this time he has attended many coaching seminars worldwide and Listened to the likes of Butch Harmon and Dennis Pugh to continually develop his Teaching skills. He has also broadened his knowledge by working abroad in both Portugal and Australia. Throughout his career he has worked at both Public and Private golf courses and managed one of the U.K`s busiest Driving Ranges.

Away from work he still plays golf regularly at his home course in Kent (up to 4 times a week when possible) and enjoys the challenge of playing in as many Professional Tournaments as Possible both Pro-Ams and PGA organised events.

His calming and uncomplicated approach to his lessons has helped him effectively instruct both beginners and advanced players. With a true passion for seeing his pupils achieve their goals his infectious enthusiasm makes his lessons fun and informative, making them the perfect environment to escape for the City quickly and effectively!

Since joining the team at City Golf James has developed the Academy further to include playing lessons on the golf course to help pupils reinforce their lessons from the indoor studios. His PGA training included Golf Psychology, Nutrition and Fitness Training and Golf Course management. It is this Holistic approach to teaching that helps James get the very best out of every pupil he Teaches.

JacquiJacqui is an incredibly experienced and qualified personal trainer and her biggest achievements have come in training competitive athletes - Rugby players, Ironmen, Triathletes, Swimmers - both in England and NZ, where she was born.

Jacqui specializes in Sports rehabilitation and back care programming, Health, Fitness & Nutrition assessment, exercise prescription & implementation in all areas of
fitness and resistance training, Sport specific fitness and resistance programming. Jacqui is also Chek qualified.

 

Steven Steven left college in 1986 with a diploma in exercise and health studies, since then he continues to dedicate and commit to a very active lifestyle demonstrating the importance and necessary commitment to be successful in achieving and maintaining a well balanced and healthy life.

Steven has continuously worked as a professional strength and conditioning coach working in the USA, Australia and the UK, he has been fortunate enough to work with many top national, international and even Olympic athletes allowing him to develop and demonstrate his unique skills and abilities as a coach.

Steven works with many innovative individuals in all areas of the fitness industry from yoga to boxing and continues to update with advancing industry courses and trends allowing him to draw upon a wealth of in-depth experience and knowledge to create a systematic training approach to maximise a clients true potential.

MikeMike has over 10 years experience working with City based clients which he achieved after obtaining his degree in Sports and Exercise. He is a keen golfer playing on a 16 handicap and uses this understanding to develop programs based around his client’s game. Mike specializes in weight loss, muscle gain, postural correction, sport specific training and nutrition "I aim to educate my clients in all aspects of health, nutrition and fitness, as I believe this to be the key to achieving and maintaining goals.

 

 

ArthurArthur Bates has been City Golf Clubs biomechanical golf intructor since the clubs conception in 2005. Arthur qualified with the Canadian PGA in 2001 at Donalda Club in Toronto, Canada. He moved to England in 2002 and was one of the first people in Europe to be trained in what is now known as the Titliest Performance Institute as a golf fitness instrutor. Since then Arthur has been assesing golfers biomechanics in the UK and has had the previledge of working with and under some great intructors including a Ryder Cup player. Since 2002 Arthur has mainly focused on the biomechanics as he sees this as the Golfers Foundation of a great swing and the way of the future for all golf tuition and is always.
